How did you discover collage?

I made my first collage at 3 years old with colored labels used for disks… The collage medium has remained with me since! My mom always gave me access to huge boxes full of recycled materials in which i could look for creative potential.

What did you like about the collage medium?

Variety! From papers and possibilities, two people can use the same piece of paper and create completely different works that reflect their own personality. I’m also interested in the community behind collage.

How would you describe your style?

Fluid movements, symbolism and emotionally charged.

In one word, what makes you unique?

Intuition.

Where do you find you collage material? What are your favorite magazines?

I had got big gift of internationnal High Fashion magazines from the collection of a fashion photographer a few years ago. I had to buy a bookshelf to fill it with those magazines! I also have a collection of botany magazines, National Geographic magazines and old illustrated dictionaries that I love, as well as books on bords and the cosmos. I buy a few magazines, but I think that what you need will find a way to you.

Any advice for a newcomer collagist?

Feed from creations, keep your mind open and interested in dicovery : cinema, theater, music, poetry, visual arts and literature. Find what binds you to others and at the same time, seek within your own uniqueness to create in balance.
